What the complaint alleges
XRAY Aerospace Corp. d/b/a Matrix Arms sued Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. and Smith & Wesson Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, alleging that Smith & Wesson's metal frame pistols infringe two patents owned by Matrix for a pistol with a removable buffer and slide rail module. Matrix alleges that Smith & Wesson's M&P series pistols include a polymeric buffer and steel front block that infringe the patents.
