What the complaint alleges
Virtua Health, Inc. and related entities sued MultiPlan Corp. n/k/a Claritev Corporation, MultiPlan, Inc., and numerous health insurers (including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealth, and others) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging that the defendants engaged in a conspiracy to artificially reduce out-of-network reimbursement rates paid to healthcare providers. The plaintiffs, healthcare providers who were underpaid for out-of-network services, claim that the defendants' anticompetitive conduct violated federal antitrust laws and state laws.
