What the complaint alleges

Lenovo (United States) Inc., Lenovo Global Technology (United States) Inc., and Motorola Mobility LLC sued Longhorn IP LLC and Hamilcar Barca IP LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, alleging bad-faith patent infringement assertions in violation of North Carolina's Abusive Patent Assertions Act. The complaint alleges that Defendants, non-practicing entities, sent a demand letter in October 2023 accusing Lenovo's products of infringing four patents without providing specific factual bases, and that Defendants knew or should have known the patents were invalid due to prior art. Lenovo seeks declaratory judgment of patent invalidity and damages for abusive conduct.
