What the complaint alleges

The City of Pittsburgh sued REV Group, LLC, American Industrial Partners, Oshkosh Corporation, Pierce Manufacturing Inc., and numerous other related entities in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. The complaint alleges the defendants engaged in multi-year anticompetitive schemes to consolidate markets for fire apparatuses and custom chassis through a series of acquisitions and combinations. The complaint further alleges Oshkosh and Pierce used exclusionary restraints, including restrictive dealer and warranty agreements and intentional product design, to stifle competition in the market for replacement parts for Pierce apparatuses. These actions are alleged to have substantially lessened competition, allowing defendants to suppress output, raise prices, and worsen terms for fire departments across the country, including the City of Pittsburgh.
