What the complaint alleges
Vanderbilt University Medical Center sued Claritev Corp. (f/k/a MultiPlan) and multiple health insurers and benefit plans in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois as part of the MultiPlan MDL. The complaint alleges that the defendants conspired to fix and artificially suppress reimbursement rates for out-of-network medical care through MultiPlan's Data iSight pricing formula, resulting in tens of millions of dollars in underpayments.
