What the complaint alleges
ABC IP, LLC, Rare Breed Triggers, Inc., and RBTM LLC sued Brandon Smith, doing business as Smokey Point 2A and Alpha Team Tactical, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. The plaintiffs allege that Smith infringed five patents (U.S. Patent Nos. 12,038,247, 12,031,784, 12,529,538, 12,578,159, and 12,636,403) by making, using, selling, and offering for sale certain firearm trigger devices, including the 'Super Safety' and 'Kabuto.' The complaint also alleges that Smith infringed the plaintiffs' FRT trademarks by advertising and selling products not originating from the plaintiffs under those marks, and engaged in unfair competition.
