What the complaint alleges
McLane Company, PepsiCo, and Bimbo Bakeries sued sugar producers ASR Group, United Sugar, Louis Dreyfus, Imperial Sugar, Michigan Sugar, and information broker Commodity Information in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, alleging they conspired to fix refined sugar prices in the United States from at least January 1, 2019, to the present. The complaint claims that the producer defendants shared confidential pricing and sales data through Commodity Information's clearinghouse to coordinate price increases, causing plaintiffs to pay artificially inflated prices.
