What the complaint alleges
Hamilcar Barca IP LLC sued Lenovo Group Ltd. in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that Lenovo infringes two patents originally developed by MediaTek. Hamilcar alleges that Lenovo’s SATA III-compliant products, such as the ThinkPad solid-state drive, infringe the ’938 patent, and that Lenovo’s products implementing ARMv8-A or later architectures, such as the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6, infringe the ’783 patent. Hamilcar also asserts that Lenovo had knowledge of the patents since at least October 2023 and continued to infringe willfully.
